Date of Contest:                      Tuesday, July 13, 2010 @ 6:30 pm (Fairgrounds Grandstand)  

Entry Fee:                               $20.00

Photographs:                          Jackey Photography will be available for individual pictures the night of the
                                              contest.   Able Video will also be available to film the pageant. 

 

1.            Each contestant must be a resident of Nelson County

2.          Contestants must have reached their 8th birthday and cannot have reached their 11th birthday by July of the current year.

3.           Birth certificates must be available upon request.

4.           Participants will be limited to the FIRST 25 applicants who return their entry form along with the $20.00 entry fee by the deadline of June 23rd.  Make checks payable to the Nelson County Fair. You will be notified by phone if you are one of the first 25 applicants.

5.           Contestants will appear on stage in Sunday dress or pantsuit with ankle or knee length socks, or barelegged with sandals. No “mini” skirts, bridal attire, or silk hose.

6.            No one will be permitted backstage except appointed committee members.

7.            Prizes will be awarded to the winner and runners-up.

8.            Judges will be from outside Nelson County.

9.            You are required to come to photo shoot on Tuedday, June 29th and practice on Sunday, July 11th @ 2:00 pm at the Fairgrounds. 

10.        Previous winners are ineligible.

11.        Any contestant who has had professional training in pageantry or modeling, or has competed in pageantry or modeling professionally is ineligible.

12.        In case of rain, pageant will be held at Bardstown Civic Center.

13.        No refunds/no rainchecks on gate admission if moved to alternate site..

14.    Winners of this pagent do not advance to state competition.

Please send signed release (below) along with entry form and fee of $20.00 (payable to Nelson County Fair) to the following address.  Please keep in mind the deadline of June 23, 2010 and only the FIRST 25 applicants will be accepted.  Contestants will be notified at least one week prior to contest date.

 I HEREBY RELEASE THE NELSON COUNTY FAIR BOARD AND ANY ASSOCIATED COMPANIES, PERSONS OR ORGANIZATIONS OF ANY LIABILITY.  I UNDERSTAND ALL RULES ASSOCIATED WITH THE FAIR AND ITS PAGEANTS.   I UNDERSTAND THE JUDGES’ DECISION IS FINAL.

 I UNDERSTAND THAT ONLY THE CONTESTANT WILL BE GIVEN AN ADMISSION PASS AND THAT ALL OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS, INCLUDING PARENTS, MUST PAY TO GAIN ENTRY INTO THE FAIRGROUNDS.

 I UNDERSTAND THAT IF I AM CHOSEN LITTLE PRINCESS OF THE NELSON COUNTY FAIR, I WILL REPRESENT MY COUNTY TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY AND THAT ANY DISREGARD TO MY CROWN AND/OR THE FAIR BOARD WILL RESULT IN MY IMMEDIATE LOSS OF TITLE.

 I AUTHORIZE THE NELSON COUNTY FAIR BOARD TO USE PHOTOS, NAMES ETC., FOR PUBLICITY AND NEWS REPORTING PURPOSES, TAPED INTERVIEWS AND ON THE SPOT BROADCASTS AS THE FAIR BOARD SEES FIT.
