RULES:
1. Health Requirements, see “General Rules.” 2. Exhibitors must be youths of Nelson County; no older than 20 as of Jan. 1 of this year. 3. Exhibitor may show no more than 4 animals. 4. Grade animals must have a certificate of age, breed, and ownership on file with show chairman prior to show (to be obtained from VO-Ag or Extension Agents). 5. Registered papers in the name of exhibitor for 9-20 years old for all registered animals. 6. Judging will be on the Danish System and money on the basis of Blue, Red, and White, 2X, l.5X, 1X. 7. $1,500 premium money awarded under the Danish System. 8. Entry time 9 a.m. E.S.T. 9. All exhibitors must pay front gate admission of $10. 10. All exhibitors ages are as of January 1. 11. Exhibitors under 9 years of age does not have to have project in their name, but animal must be in the family or farm name. 12. No horns or slurs (except Longhorn, Walusi or Hereford). 13. All projects must be in youth’s name prior to June 1, 2018.

Junior Bull Calf: Calved after Jan. 1st of this year. Sr. Bull Calf: Sept. 1 - Dec. 31, 2018 (Sr. Bull Calves must have nose lead)

4-H and FFA BEEF FITTING AND SHOWMANSHIP CONTEST
1. The fitting and showing contest is open to any exhibitor who has animals in the show. 2. Novice division is limited to 6 years of age and under (may show any female animal). 3. Junior division limited to ages 7 through 12. 4. Intermediate division limited to ages 13-15. 5. Senior division limited to ages 16 to 20. 6. Exhibitors must show their own animals in the fitting and showing contest. 7. Winners will receive plaques provided by the Nelson County Beef Cattle Assn. and prizes donated by Bluegrass Seed. 8. Previous division winners can no longer show in that division.
